Fairport Containers first established its Textile & Recycling Banks Division in 2014. Originally servicing a small handful of customers, it has increased to a portfolio of over 30 major, national and international charities and recycling companies. Fairport has been a member of the Charity Retail Association for over 3 years, further demonstrating our commitment to the industry.
We work closely with charities and third‑sector organisations to refurbish, remodel and maintain textile banks and recycling containers. Our services help charities maximise collections, improve bank appearance and extend asset life while supporting environmental and social value objectives.

Our two UK depots provide nationwide charity clothing bank refurbishment services, along with secure storage facilities. Maintaining the appearance of your clothing banks helps clearly communicate your charity’s core values, builds public trust, and can ultimately increase donation levels.
Every clothing bank undergoes a comprehensive refurbishment process. Each unit is fully inspected for faults, shot‑blasted to remove old paint and vinyls, and professionally repaired with damaged or faulty components replaced. Banks are then repainted in your chosen colours, finished with new vinyl graphics, and passed through final quality control checks to ensure you receive a durable, high‑quality refurbished clothing bank.
As part of our comprehensive service for you, we offer full logistical support. Fairport has developed a fleet of specialist flat bed trailers with a rear mounted Hiab, which has a reach of up to 12 meters. This allows us access over walls, fences, barriers and unstable ground.
For areas inaccessible for our vehicle itself, we have a hand held pump truck, enabling the driver to deliver containers anywhere. Due to the Hiab lifting capabilities, banks do not need to be emptied. It has the capacity to transport up to 18 x 4ft clothing banks at any one time. Fairport offers nationwide transport coverage at one standard competitive fee.
Our experienced nationwide driving team provides valuable on‑site feedback on the condition of your charity clothing banks, including reporting any damage, maintenance issues, or the presence of unauthorised banks at your locations. This proactive monitoring helps protect your brand, sites, and donation income.
