Waste Container and Recycling Bank Refurbishment Specialist, Fairport Containers Ltd, has been
awarded a contract to rebrand all existing waste containers belonging to SUEZ in the UK, following a
tender process.
The containers currently carry the SITA UK brand, which became obsolete last year when all of the
global business units of the Suez Environnement group united under the single name, SUEZ. The
contract will see Fairport Containers refurbish and rebrand nearly 70,000 containers from dozens of
SUEZ sites and thousands of customer locations.
Fairport Containers has provided refurbishment, storage and logistical solutions to the company since
2007.
Fairport Containers has increased its team by more than 45 specialist personnel to assist with the new
contract and invested in a further 22 vehicles, including 3 fully equipped mobile workshops and a
customised Fairport app to capture real time project data.
Head of communications at SUEZ recycling and recovery UK, Naomi Jones said, “Having worked with
Fairport Containers previously for many years, we were confident that they would provide, not only
innovative technology with the mobile application, but also the experience and expertise required to fulfil
such a large and complex contract in a limited amount of time.”
Fairport Containers Chairman, Andrew Porter commented, “Myself and the whole Fairport Team were
thrilled to be awarded the tender for such a large national project with a valued existing customer. We
are very much looking forward to continuing a long and successful working relationship with SUEZ.”
