Expanding our team as we gear up for third depot launch
21 October 2015
We are delighted to be bolstering our head office team in preparation for the launch of our third UK depot.
Inkeeping with ourroots as a family business, we have appointed Ben Johnson, a nephew of company founder Andrew Porter, as sales representative.
The 28-year-old has four years’ experience of sales to overseas markets and is currently focused on generating new business to feed our third UK depot, which is due to open in Bridgwater.
Ben commented: “I’m delighted to be working for such a well-respected business and particularly one with such close family ties. I’ve spent time gaining first hand experience of all departments within the business to gain a thorough knowledge of our strengths and services, which I believe makes a huge difference when speaking directly with clients.
“It’s been great getting to know our regular customers and I’m looking forward to meeting lots of new contacts as I travel around the UK.”
We have also appointed 29-year-old Melissa Gee as recycling bank co-ordinator. Melissa is the main point of contact for the firm’s recycling bank customers and is responsible for growing this arm of the business.
Melissa joins the team after nine years working as a transport supervisor for a UK-wide company.
“I have had the opportunity to build a great working relationship with some of the UK’s leading charities,” she said.
“My experience in logistics planning and customer service is a great foundation and has allowed me to perform my role efficiently and to continue to grow our successful customer base.”
Managing director, Steve Collinson, commented: “Melissa and Ben are a welcome addition to our team and we’re sure that their years of experience, as well as their friendly and approachable manner, will be a huge benefit to our customers.”
